The lemur is probably the endemic mammal that embodies best the remarkable quality of the fauna of Madagascar. Fifteen (15) kinds of diurnal and nocturnal lemurs are listed in the five (5) families living in Malagasy land: the Cheirogaleidaes, the Lepilemuridaes, the Lemuridaes, the Indridaes and the aye-aye. The aye-aye is a particular lemur, because each part of its body remind another animal. And yet, it is unique!
